Family recreation & entertainment centre in the heart of Ikorodu
Dream Park and Gardens is a one-stop-shop Family entertainment and recreation centre, located in the peaceful and serene area of Ikorodu. We are the first to bring a range of facilities under one roof for convenience.
Inspiration and Passion
The founder and Chairman, Mr Afolabi Olawale had this wonderful dream in 2007 after the death of his lovely wife in 2006 leaving behind two infants boys, aged one and three years old then for him to care for and cater for.
This was when a seeming misfortune loomed so large with despair and sadness but with divine inspiration and grace, he was able to turn that seeming misfortune into a fortunate dream that is now of blessing to all of us.
Founder & Chairman
His passion for children and strong family values inspired him to decide to dedicate his life and resources to raising his two boys. His aim has been to always give them the best, but a major challenge he encountered in the course of fulfilling the mandate has been to get suitable places to take them to, for recreation, family bonding and the unearthing of their talents and creativity. He was really concerned about the way they live, learn, grow and recreate. Their overall health, growth, academic development, creative ability and happiness were issues that he grappled with. Unfortunately, he couldn’t get any place with such facilities, security and values to deliver his desired goals for his little boys.
Concept and Reality
True to his nature, he decided to take action and conceived the idea for a complete family recreation and entertainment center. The vision was to create an ‘end destination’ spot that engages the whole family. The center features an international standard restaurant with healthy cuisines. It also includes slides and arcade games for children, and parents and young adults can do their daily workout in the well-furnished gym.
There are cinemas for watching movies and various games suitable for all ages. Additionally, it provides a space to watch sports or football matches on a large screen, and sometimes even hosts a D-banj event. It serves as a hub to re-ignite social interaction within the community, with an underlying premise for a profitable commercial venture due to its uniqueness in Ikorodu among a growing population of over 2.5 million people. ‘It was a dream, and I never knew it was going to be a reality,’ he reports.
